Have You Ever Found a Photo of You Used in an Unexpected Way?

In 2013, shortly before I returned home from my semester abroad at University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, I started showing up in pictures and videos a couple times.

I randomly found out about all these incidents spread over the next year or so, which was fun because it always made me reminisce.

First, there was the time they took a picture at the opening of the new library, in which I happened to be – just not at the event 😀

We had a running joke while I was over there, because I was always, always wearing blue.

And sure enough, a year later, they took another picture someone had snapped of me and used it in their PR – wearing blue again.

But the funniest thing of this sort happened when I was going through Youtube, looking at some clips of parties in Cancun, because I was reminiscing of the time we went there in 2012.

All of a sudden, I saw this:

I thought: “Wait a minute. You know those sneakers.”

Yup. Yours truly, busting a move.

I show up a couple more times in the video.

…and guess what I’m wearing?

Blue.

Say what you will, a consistent style makes you recognizable. Maybe it’s because I switched to red later that I stopped showing up in people’s pictures in videos.

I guess it’s time to whip out some blue shirts again!
