On Some Days, All You Can Do Is Rest

That’s okay, you know?

Sometimes, we feel a missing 24 hours acutely. At other times, months go by without us noticing we’re neglecting an important project or person.

Sometimes, the days are long and the years are short. Then again, days can be short and years can be long.

Depending on which season you’re in, a rest day can create its own kind of stress. But if you feel deep down you truly need it, it never should.

Take a day off everything. Be deliberate about it. Treat yourself to genuine rest and recovery.

In the grand scheme of things, those 24 hours will soon seem small enough—and they’re almost always hours well invested.
