Writations

99% of the things I create are the result of me writing words in one form or another. It’d be cool to say I’m a coder, Youtuber, or entrepreneur, but I’m not. I’m a writer. Everything else, I only learn insofar as I need it to deliver my writing.

After three years of writing, I’ve finally decided to embrace this fact. To remember it, I’m dubbing my projects “Writations.”

Writing + Creations = Writations!

If you enjoy my writations, consider becoming my email friend. I only send updates when I have something that I’m proud of to share, usually once or twice a month.

Regular Writing

Medium: I don’t publish as often on Medium as I used to, but I still share the occasional fun piece when I’m taking a break from my next book. I also post the occasional, long essay to test new ideas.

The Blog: I wrote some in-depth guides on here a few years ago, but right now it’s mostly a placeholder. Eventually, I want to pull everything together again here.

Books

The 4 Minute Millionaire: This is my first “proper” book. Based on the #1 interest among Four Minute Books readers – money – I assembled the 44 best lessons from the top finance books of the last 70 or so years. Each lesson can be read in 4 minutes and comes with an action item you can complete quickly without feeling overwhelmed. If you’re looking to rethink money, invest wisely, and growth wealthy in just 4 minutes a day, this book is for you – and at $4, it’s a steal.

The Complete Guide to Remembering What You Read: A short but detailed guide to how you can get the most out of books, articles, and texts of any kind. It’ll show you how to extract the right information and build maximal retention from reading in five phases: Previewing, reading, note-taking, condensing, and remembering.

How To Google: My very first (e)book, which I’m still proud of today, given my skills at the time. This book will teach you how to craft the perfect Google search through elimination, rephrasing, and inferring. It also walks you through all of Google’s built-in features that’ll help you see results faster. Finally, the book explains how to get super-focused search results by using advanced search operators. It’s full of screenshots, and, by the end of it, you’ll know how to find anything and everything.

Courses

Write Like A Pro (Free): A short, five-day email course highlighting the core lessons from the premium course’s five modules: mindset, the habit of writing, deliberate practice, audience building, and monetization. A great, risk-free entry into the world of both creative and professional writing.

Write Like A Pro (Paid): The full version of my flagship course, in which I teach you literally everything I know about writing. The course consists of five modules spanning over 130 lessons, which amount to 15 hours of engaging, fun, story-based, interactive videos. You can start at zero, hobbyist, or full-time professional yet still learn something new. I talk about Quora, Medium, and SEO, as well as the craft, mindset, and habitual aspects of writing. Marketing and monetization are also covered. If you want to follow a career arc similar to mine, this is your one-stop shop.

The ONE GOAL Strategy (Free): A 1-hour, step-by-step video course to walk you through the goal-setting strategy I stole from Mark Zuckerberg. I used this to grow my email list to over 10,000 subscribers, write 500,000 words in 2016, and get Four Minute Books to 100,000+ visitors in its first year.

7 Days Of Leaving Your Comfort Zone (Free): A set of seven challenges to help you gradually step out of your comfort zone. The format is in writing and video, with me doing the challenges alongside you, each one a little more difficult than the last. This course doesn’t require a (free) coach.me membership, but if you have one, you can track your progress in their app.

Hack Studying: 14 Days To A Study Schedule That Works (Paid): This course will help you get organized and structure your work. It’s a total of 14 lessons spread over two weeks. If you’re a college student, this should be a perfect fit, but you can also use this course to get on top of your projects at work. It costs $9.99.

Break A Bad Habit In 30 Days (Paid): A month-long course with daily instructions, guiding you all the way through selecting a bad habit you want to break, designing your environment to make it less tempting, setting up a reward system, and using feedback loops to make it through. It costs $9.99 and is based on a framework I designed myself after coaching over 300 people through various habit changes.

Time 2 Read (Free): Want to go from zero to regular reader in two weeks and seven lessons? This is for you. Each unit contains a story, a principle, and an experiment. Enjoy the story, run the experiment to get yourself on track, then use the principle for life.
